Work-based learning (WBL) is a unique opportunity for students to begin working within the trade while still in high school. Juniors and seniors meeting the academic requirements (and at the discretion of the instructors and their parents) have the opportunity to work during school hours. This is an invaluable opportunity for students to learn through on-the-job training and bring that learning back to the shop for other students. While many of our partner agencies are governmental, there are still numerous paid opportunities. We are always evaluating offers for WBL opportunities that will meet the needs of our students!
