Students get HAZMAT Training

Vinal CJPS students were trained and earned certification in hazardous materials (HAZMAT) response. Town of Berlin Fire Marshal Steven Waznia assisted with the instruction, providing the students with real-world experiences. The students went to I-91, identifying hazardous materials vehicles and proper response guidelines for incidents involving all of them. Students also learned about appropriate personal protective equipment and dressed in level-C hazardous material protective clothing as part of their training
