One of the more advanced lessons CJPS seniors learn is about the effects of terrorism on our trade. Police, Fire, and EMS need to be prepared to respond to the rare threats their communities face just as equally as the "routine" threats they face. CJPS seniors recently received special training through the Department of Homeland Security in this area and finished off their training by seeing first hand the equipment used. Special thanks to Detective Steve Citta of the Hartford Police Department for hosting us! CJPS attended the funeral for Connecticut State Trooper Brian Mohl to pay our respects and thank him for his service. Trooper Torres was kind enough to escort us to the ceremony and explain to the class the various parts of the ceremony. It was certainly something we won't forget. Our deepest sympathies to the Mohl family and the Connecticut State Police. Thank you for your service. |
