With the horrible tragedy in Baltimore unfolding, we decided to move our emergency operation center to alert status to monitor any way we can help. Students did an amazing job modifying their EOC command structure to meet the challenge and bring freshmen who have not been trained yet up to speed. Impressive work.

Today the Prince Tech freshman visited our shop at Vinal, and we were happy to show them around! We gave them a shop tour, and both classes were introduced to all the instructors before a student meet and greet. Lots of laughs and meeting new friends. We ended the meet with a little student torture (because that’s what we enjoy most as teachers) with a sardine eating challenge! So funny. See you again soon Prince! Since we ran out of time, apocalypse goggles had to be made… of course. FUN DAY!

First warm day of the year… sometimes you just have to have some fun with your peers and bond. Fun time and lots of laughs. Also… has any of the parents been in one of these things since elementary school?? Was pretty fun actually ha!

We had a ton of fun with a surprise Police vs Fire vs CJPS Hot Ones Wing Challenge! Trying to always keep everyone on their toes not knowing what to expect in shop, this certainly “spiced” things up a bit! Shockingly, all the contestants made it through all the hot sauces although Mr. C was clearly the weakest link in the hot sauce chain. Fun time!!!
