CJPS Seniors and Freshman attended the memorial service marking the 77th anniversary of the Battle of Iwo Jima. Students got to speak with numerous veterans and learn about the conflict. The day was full of emotion as students watched a veteran salute the memorial, another resting his hand on the monument with his head down, the names of all the soldiers lost being read aloud, taps, and a gun salute. Thank you to our veterans for all you have done, and continue to do for us. Your service is not lost.

Today we had the extra special honor of hosting CJPS senior Liv's official SIGNING with the Mass Maritime Academy Buccaneers softball team. Liv will be continuing her studies in emergency management in their impressive and high-tech emergency operations center. Because of Liv, Vinal CJPS and Mass Maritime now have a standing agreement for in-state tuition for any of our graduates! Keep knockin it out of the park Liv :)
